Picture of me on the set of Bloodline (Netflix). Working for Kevin Rayburn at the boat yard.

Here are a couple of my scenes from Bloodline (season 3, episode 4). During the baptism, Kevin Rayburn (Norbert Leo Butz) is looking over his shoulder and wondering where his brother John is? I am behind his head wearing a lavender shirt and sitting next to my on-set wife. Earlier in the day, as one of Kevin Rayburn's boat yard employee's, I was hard at work in the garage as Kevin walks by. If you are curious, I was repairing a propeller. I also appear briefly in about 4-5 other scenes during the episode, mostly in the background at the boat yard.

Hanging out on a chilly day in the Smoky Mountains. I am from Florida, so you can surely understand the excitement when I get a chance to see some snow (even if it is minimal). I am sporting my cowboy hat and Sons of Anarchy ring. No shame in getting older, everyday is a gift. It's all about what you leave behind and I fully intend on leaving behind a whole shit ton of awesome, ground breaking music!

My most successful music video to date is for my haunting love song Sweet Adelaide. The song is a chilling venture into the realm of immortality and painful loss. A kick ass remixed version of this song, with upgraded vocals, will be included on Hit List. The video was filmed and directed by my good friend Kevin Killelea in various locations throughout LaSalle Co, Illinois. The music video for Sweet Adelaide can be found below

The Mime - Before I go any further, I should mention that I do not dress like this on a regular basis. The picture is from a photoshoot for The Hollywood Blacklist album. The mime worked out perfectly for my ultra-secretive, ultra-creative bass player persona. I should also mention that I do play all my own instruments (guitars, bass, keys, effects & percussion). I write my own lyrics and handle all the vocals. I am also in charge of all mixing and mastering. Foxman is my legally registered alias and Foxman Music serves as my Independent Record Label. I have never been formally educated at anything I do. I jumped in head first and learn as I go. Foxman Music was originally established in 2001. One of my favorite pictures. I think it perfectly captures my image & persona as a songwriter. The picture was taken at a Flogging Molly show at Jannus Live in downtown St Petersburg, FL in 2018. Yes, I am a huge fan of wearing hats.
Here's a list of the songs that will appear on Hit List, in the correct album order, with the corresponding album that the songs first appeared on.
Guest Appearances
Butch Thomas plays saxophone in Terrible Tale & Halfway to Memphis
Butch is a world class horn player who has played/toured with the likes of Lenny Kravitz, Sting, Jaco Pastorius, Thomas Dolby, Queen Latifah & many others.
Dennis Stadelman (Cope) plays lead guitar in Shady Deal & America
Amazing musician! One of the absolute best in the entire Tampa Bay area. The man can shred with the best of them.
I have always taken a lot of pride in the graphic designs for my various album releases. Hit List will be no exception. As many of my fans know, I love to hide things in my graphic designs. Kind of keeps things interesting and adds another layer of depth. I will share these extras in the captions underneath of each image. Hopefully all this awesome artwork will encourage people to purchase a physical copy of the album.

Front cover for Hit List. I love the clutter of urban decay. The voodoo figurines, skull and road closed sign forewarn viewers of a dark impending doom. It is always best to tread lightly and be cautious. But what has led to this perilous warning? Is there some kind of hidden message behind the images? If the intrigue has won you over, then put aside your inhibitions and hold on tight. "Creative songwriting is a lifelong journey through the minds and imaginations of many unsuspecting individuals (one of my quotes)". If it makes you feel a little bit better, the dove represents peace & love.

The inside sleeve for the album with all the song titles and a few hidden items. There is the scary image outside the window (kinda goes along with Terrible Tale). The scorpion on the floor. The Day of the Dead figurines and a copy of this album on the shelf between the windows. I thought it was a clever idea to include an image of the album within the actual graphic design for the album. The old weathered image is I photo I took inside an old structure that we found while driving through the animal plateau area of the Smoky Mountains.
The actual disc top for Hit List. The image is a bit risqué, but I love it! I needed something that would appeal to the underground mystique of the new album. The image is ultra memorable, it pulls you in & it tempts your curiosities.
Promo Flyers Here are a few promo flyers that I created for the Hit List album. There's a lot going on in these images, so make sure you read the captions underneath. I was having so much fun with the promo flyers that I ended up making one for every song on the album. All 16 can be found in the Song Lyrics section below. I like the Gothic mood of this flyer. Kind of an odd collection of things, which do signify a few songs on the album. The Christmas ornaments signify Jingle Bells. The Foxman campaign pin signifies America (NO! I am not running for office). The rosary & cross signify Terrible Tale & Ne'er Do Well. The bloody hand print signifies Blood Drips. My clipboard photo signifies Wilderness of Mirrors & the old clock signifies Sweet Adelaide. If people find they are curious & want more, then they can follow the clue. The looking glass with the QR code that leads directly to this blog. Another little aside for everyone. The brick wall in the background is actually from a picture that I took at George Washington's Mount Vernon home. This is my favorite promo flyer for the new album. The colors pop and pull you in. While the voodoo dolls, spiders & sugar skull encourage you to be cautious. The image has kind of a futuristic/computer vibe. If you zoom in and look around, there are a bunch of hidden captions about the album. This promo flyer kinda centers around my lucky voodoo song Voodoo Doll. If you are curious about the actual image. Well, it's a photo of me sitting inside a space shuttle while visiting the Kennedy Space Center. I did some experimenting with my digital editor and this is what emerged. I was wearing a cowboy hat & a green shirt. If you look directly above the sugar skull's head you will see my smiling face. Music Videos After my 2 background acting roles (Netflix), I discovered that I have a passion for creating my own music videos. They are the perfect platform to share all 3 of my passions; music, art & acting. After the release of Hit List, I decided that my new goal was to have a kick ass music video for all 16 songs on the album. 4 of the songs already had more than adequate videos from previous album releases, so that helped simplify things a bit. As of today (May 6, 2023), I only have one music left to accomplish my goal! The music videos are the absolute best that I have to offer. The videos can all be found below underneath their corresponding songs, or you come join me at my You Tube Channel (link below) *** The final music video for 'Terrible Tale' was released in July 2024. I have accomplished my goal! Foxman Music Channel (You Tube) Song Lyrics I wrote this song about the Bloodline Netflix series that I had the honor of being a background actor in. I was a boatyard employee in season 3, episode 4 and I also appear in the church baptism scenes. The Damage is Done Oh woe is me & me old tattered bones Just look at this wreck, that I have become Don't cry for me darling for the things that I've done For there's no need to worry About the mess I've become My boat has set anchor and the damage is done Well I drank all the whiskey and I drank all the rum Trying to hide from my troubles but they barely begun And I can't fight the demons they're haunting my soul And I know they'll never let go Those old family secrets crawl back from the grave When the bloodline is tainted it poisons the veins So you beg for forgiveness but your conscience is stained And the tides can't wash it away No the tides can't wish it away Music video for 'The Damage is Done', May 13, 2022 Photo was taken near Battery Park in NYC. No More Lonely Nights was the most popular song on The Fools Mask album. I was working on Clearwater Beach when I wrote it, so you will feel the beachy vibe come through. No More Lonely Nights Baby, what do I have to say to make it all go away So there'll be no more lonely nights for the rest of our lives Baby, what do I have to do to spend some time with you So there'll be no more lonely nights for the rest of our lives For the rest of our lives And I was all alone sitting by myself With all those memories of me & you And the time slipped slowly by cause you were always on my mind When I sat alone and tried to think it through But I was lonely in my thoughts without you And there was nothing left but the sunset and all those memories of me and you And the time slipped slowly by cause you were always on my mind When I sat alone and tried to think it through But I was lonely in my thoughts without you So lonely in my thoughts without you Music video for 'No More Lonely Nights', Oct 16, 2021 Saxophone by Butch Thomas. There are a ton of hidden images in this promo flyer. The church in the upper right corner. The bloody knife in the bottom left corner (check the lyrics below). The song is about a priest who commits the horrible act of murder. He then goes to jail for 20 yrs, where he spends his time questioning his faith. After being released, he returns to his hometown, where he hopes to make things right. It is a very deep and perplexing song theme. Terrible Tale Sometimes it takes me a long time when I'm trying to make things right I took a stroll last Saturday night through some darker days of my life I saw the old church there on the corner looking weathered and worn Its been condemned for nearly 20 years now I hide my face and move on Some memories cast long shadows and you you don't know how to close the door For better or worse they are the thoughts that hurt until you just can't take it no more I took a walk down a lonely sidewalk through the dirty side of town It takes me back to days I remember I close my eyes and move on And the townsfolk tell a terrible tale about a body that was found in the bottom of a well They used to claim it was a ghost saying nobody knows Who committed the crime who could be so low But then one day they took a man away that small town priest he was going to pay They sent him down the road to serve 20 to life 'cause some finally found the bloody knife While the townsfolk told that terrible tale the priest was all alone in a prison cell Questioning his faith and all that he knows from the father, son to the Holy Ghost But then one day it finally came to pass those 20 long years to pay for his past But what went wrong on the fateful hight To make a holy man wanna take a life Sometimes it takes e a long time when I'm trying to make things right Music video for 'Terrible Tale', July 12, 2024 In voodoo terms, the black pin is used to dispel negativity. This song was originally called Same Old Troubles. For all of those who are familiar with my music, this is one of my most recognizable songs. Voodoo Doll Well, I might be down and out and singing the blues But I won't be giving up on account of you I've got a whole lotta troubles that keep doing me harm I'm gonna search my bag of tricks and find me a lucky charm Well, I feel like I'm walkin' on needles and pins I get to the end and start all over again With them same old troubles that keep dragging me down I need to shove a black pin through the heart of a voodoo doll Well, I fear that I'm living with no reason or rhyme I can see it all clearly from the end of the line It's them same old troubles that kept coming my way Like watching cracks on the wall while I'm scrying in my crystal ball If I seem a bit distracted don't be surprised Cause you know it in your heart the hand's quicker than the eye I've got a whole lot of secrets that just can't be told And if you blink for a second I'll be gone with your pot of gold It's them same old troubles that keep dragging me down I need to shove a black pin through the heart of a voodoo doll I'm gonna shove a black pin through the heart of a voodoo doll Music video for 'Voodoo Doll', November 19, 2024 Under the Weather is one of my most downloaded songs. This new version is EPIC! The keyboards added a very cool element to the song. For all of those who have been through a bad breakup, this one's for you Under the Weather Don't wanna see your smiling face, baby No not today I'm at a loss and I don't know what to say Go take your thoughts and your indecisions and just go away I'm better off when our sunny skies are grey But its alright, take it or leave it believin' it will turn out right And its alright, feeling under the weather when you know you're gonna be alright And it's all, alright Yeah it's all, alright Don't wanna hear your words of wisdom, baby No not today I'm down and out and I don't know what to say Don't waste your time trying to stand and deliver Just go away You're better off when our sunny skies are grey Don't wanna taste your sweet surrender, baby No not today We fell in love through so many sunny days But times come, times change and times fade away And we're better off when our sunny skies are grey And we're better off when our sunny skies are grey Music video for 'Under the Weather', released on Oct 2, 2020 Yes, that is me dressed up as Seymore Dingleweed. This is a very fun and bumbling song about a homeless person who is questioning his faith, while searching for signs to help him on his way. . Ne'er Do Well Gonna throw my faith, in a wishing well And pray, the bottom don't lead to hell I gotta make, one last wish And hope to God, it's worth the risk Such trying times, so ne'er do well And I need a little luck to break the spell So I saved all my blessings and I think it's time Gonna make a wish, with my last dime Is that a crime, is that a crime Gonna tempt my faith and hope I get a sign Yet I fear a ne'er do well ain't worth the time I'm gonna wander, on down the road And hope, I find somewhere to go Gonna cross my fingers and hope for the best But this witches tale is bound by no regrets Such dire times, so ne'er do well And I need a little luck to break the spell While I travel, on down the road And hope, that you'll let me know Which way to go, which way to go Please hurry Lord I really need to know For I wandered down this road so long ago Such lonely times, so ne'er do well And I need a little luck to break the spell So I saved all my blessings and I spent my lucky dime To make a wish, that God would help me find Which way to go, which way to go I hope I find somewhere to go Cause I don't know, no I don't know For I wandered down this road so long ago I really wish, that God would help me so So I know, I'd know which way to go Which way to go, which way to go Music video for 'Ne'er Do Well', released on November 24, 2013 Saxophone by Butch Thomas. I guarantee this song will be one of the most memorable songs on the entire album. Being the creative writer that I am, I'm actually playing 2 roles in the song. The singer and the madcap DJ who is playing the song. I am sure you will find it to be a very fun and meandering adventure. Excellent storyline too! Halfway to Memphis Don't take my world away It's never too late to change I've gotten myself in a whole lotta trouble and that's the price you pay I know, I've made mistakes Some people get all the breaks I travel on down that road Away I go It's them same sad songs playing on that radio And I'm halfway to Memphis on this cold, damp, musty road You just don't mean a thing until you're buying them diamond rings You better brace yourself for those rough waters And hope you float I dread that musty road All the faces seem to come and go And you have to keep looking back over your shoulder Why, I don't know It's just so hard to tell I dropped a dollar in the wishing well And found me a lady that I called my baby And bought the diamond ring She flushed it down the drain And hitched a ride in the pouring rain And traveled on down that road Away she goes Music video for Halfway to Memphis, released on February 12, 2021 This is one of the darker themed songs on the album. I love experimenting with different song themes. Vampires, serial killers, whatever fits your fancy. It kinda comes across like a B rate horror movie. It took me forever to get a good mix on this tune! I am very proud of the my lead guitar solo at the end of he song. It ROCKS!! Blood Drips Blood drips, from my lips, to the flesh of my fingertips I know, it was hard to know, but you were next on my list Call it a privilege, or a sacrifice, this bitter taste for life Comes crashing in a violent thirst Is that the curse, or something so much worse That's gonna haunt you 'til it hurts Superstitions, paved in stone a cold sweat when you're all alone A strange face in he windowsill, with a little time to kill Eternal darkness through the fading lights Another wasted life You ear the pains from the shadows that lurk Is that the curse, or something so much worse That's gonna haunt you 'til it hurts It's gonna haunt you 'til it hurts Blood drips, from my lips, to the flesh of my fingertips Music video for 'Blood Drips', released on October 31, 2020
Lead guitar by Dennis Stadelman. Come take a stroll through the seedy part of town. For lack of a better explanation, this song is technically about falling in love with a prostitute. The back alley groove is perfect. This is the most Rocking song on Hit List
Shady Deal Go and tell it like you will, I've gotta little time to fill But the word is out on the streets that it's just another shady deal And you sell it like a poison pill so bittersweet and I'm ripe for the kill Come haunt me with that mischievous smile such a devious style I'm so lost in the thrill Cause I know, full well, that you will Go and tell it like a terrible lie I'm so blinded by that look in your eyes And that sweet taste of deceit's, so bittersweet that I can't decide But I got a little time to kill You're gonna ride it like I know that you will But the word is out on the streets and the time feels like it's standing still And I've grown, so lost, in the thrill Cause I know, full well, that you will The moonlight is shining down casting shadows all around Another day has come and gone Another body in the lost and found And you haunt me with those mischievous eyes Selling snake oil, deception and lies I guess I hoped that something was real But it was just another shady deal And I'd grown, so lost, in the thrill Now I know, that I knew, full well I just never thought you had the heart to kill Music video for 'Shady Deal'. Released on May 6, 2023 Please make sure to check out the music video for this song. It's an earlier version, but it still ROCKS! The video can be found at my home website foxmanmusic.com Sweet Adelaide is a haunting venture into the realm of immortality and painful loss. This is my most recognizable song ever! The new version is Amazing!! The video was filmed/directed by my good friend Kevin Killelea. Sweet Adelaide There's something kinda strange about the hypnotizing ways that you move me I can hear you in my thoughts and when your near I feel you walk right through me Casting shadows on the wall 'til the darkness of it all consumes me And a cold chill fills the air That's the feeling that I get when you're near Sweet Adelaide How long must I wait for you There's something kinda strange about the never ending ways that you haunt me From the pictures on the wall to the stairway down the hall, you move me To the cemetery gates where a whisper from the grave cuts through me Music video for 'Sweet Adelaide'. New version released on March 5, 2023
All lyrics in this song are made up of spy terms and doublespeak. The government is corrupted from the top on down. All of those who are in the know are being eliminated one by one. Will I make it to the dead drop on time, to secure my new identity, or not! There is a cool, first person view, video for this song that can be found at my home website foxmanmusic.com Wilderness of Mirrors Got ghouls in the graveyards window dressing moles Shooters on the catwalks, with assets in their scopes Cousins flyin' a false flag and rabbit's on the run While Uncle's in the White House tryin' to hide the smoking gun And the blowbacks being rolled up and burnt to the bone A throwaway to the Agency, with a legend that's exposed I fill the take to the dead drop and watch raven disappear Now I'm a hard man in the wilderness of mirrors It's a jungle of lies in the politics of fear Hunting packs pound the pavement, big brother's in the sky Wheel artists in my rearview mirror, it's a swarm of evil eyes I flip and find a decoy, now I'm blowing in the wind naked without a cobbler, a safe house or a friend Now cousins tuned the music box to the sounds of bag and burn Night crawlers scour the alleyways with honeypots and germs While Uncle's in the background, pulling all the strings while pondering his possibilities Music video for 'Wilderness of Mirrors, released on May 7, 2013 Hopefully, if all goes well, this song will receive FDA approval. Talk about stepping outside the box and attempting a song theme that few songwriters would ever consider. It is a very catchy and influential song! To add to the urgency, I am using a bullhorn effect for the verse vocals. The songs also features an exceptional guitar solo and coughing (I was just getting over a nasty cold when I recorded it). Have Another Cigarette You're coughing up them bad emissions Choking on your words Hacking up your inhibitions while grasping in the dirt You're choking your enthusiasm Suffocating hope Pacing like your nerves are shattered While hiding in the smoke Have another cigarette Have another cigarette Have another cigarette Then try to catch your breath You're choking off your circulation Yellowing your skin Cruddin' up your pearly whites Darkening your grin You're coughing like a motor racing hacking up a lung Lapping up them cancer causing Carcinogens Music video for 'Have Another Cigarette', released on April 22, 2021 This song includes real life background effects from NYC. I recorded them myself in November, 2019. The song is about a homeless person who has lost everything and is holding on to the memory of a lost love. It's a sad theme, but it is delivered in a fun way. City Streets Well I don't know what to say cause I'm standing in the rain without you And I don't wanna be without you anymore It's lonely on the streets with all the dopers and the freaks without you And I don't wanna be without you anymore On these cold, dark, damp City Streets Don't you worry 'bout me I'll be fine darling without you I don't know what to do and I'm feeling kinda blue without you And I don't wanna be without you anymore I pass away my time turning circles in my mind without you And I don't wanna be without you anymore and I'm really startin' to stink without you And I don't wanna be without you anymore It's lonely on the streets with all the dopers and the freaks without you And I don't wanna be without you anymore Music video for 'City Streets, released on Christmas Day 2022 One of my favorite songs from The Fools Mask album. I love the fun, upbeat Rockabilly vibe and playful lyrics. This song was also the debut for my Taylor acoustic guitar. A huge upgrade in my arsenal. Meet Again Some Day I can see my baby walking', down that lonely road She's searching for horizons, that I might never know I can see her looking back now as I try to look away And I wonder if we'll meet again some day I can hear my baby laughin' and I truly wish her well But I have to think I'm better off, but only time will tell She seems to think I'm lost inside my ever lovin' mind And she wonders if I'll ever find the time Sometimes I have to wonder, if it's really worth the time I'd scratch my head and try to think, but I'd probably lose my mind Cause sometimes is all or nothing and forever's nothing more And it's you my love I truly do adore Yes it's you my love I truly do adore I can see my baby smiling as she stops to wave to me It's funny how she always knows what's hard for me to see I smile back and nod my head, you best be on your way Cause now I know, we'll meet again some day Cause now I know, we'll meet again some day I always knew, we'd meet again some day And now I know, we'll meet again some day I always knew, we'd meet again some day Music video for 'Meet Again Some Day', released on Sept 24, 2022 For my version of this song, I chose to take a folklorish approach that focuses more on the storyline than on the ultra popular chorus section. The song is actually about a man who wants to win over the girl of his dreams, but he fails and embarrasses himself. In the last verse he is sharing his advice with the younger generations. I did change some of the lyrics to make them easier to follow. You are more than welcome to sing along. Jingle Bells Dashing through the snow, in a one horse open sleigh Ore the fields we go, laughing all the way Bells on bobtails ring, making spirits bright What fun it is to ride and sing a sleighing song tonight Oh, Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells Jingle all the way Oh what it is to ride in a one horse open sleigh Hey, Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells Jingle all the way Oh what fun it is to ride in a one horse open sleigh A day or 2 ago, I thought I'd take a ride A girl I yearned to know, was seated by my side Our horse was lean and lank, misfortune seemed his lot He ran into a drifted bank and we, we got upsot A day or 2 ago, this story I must tell I went out on the snow and on my back I fell A gent was riding by, in a one horse open sleigh He laughed as there I sprawling lie and quickly rode away The ground is clear and white, so go it while you're young Take the girls tonight and sing a sleighing song Go get a bobtail bay, 240 as his speed Hitch him to an open sleigh and crack you'll take the lead Music video for 'Jingle Bells', released on December 20, 2020 Lead guitar by Dennis Stadleman. I am very proud of myself for writing this song! It is a huge challenge for a songwriter to write an American anthem and not have it end up sounding cheesy. This is definitely one of the most important songs I have ever written. I already had the music recorded before coronavirus changed everything, but I was recording the vocals during that time period, so some of that mood may end up shining through. Just for the record, I am a descendant of John Rutledge of South Carolina (2nd Supreme Court Justice and a signer of the US Constitution). America I take my time, don't worry 'bout nothin Cause nothin be wasting my time I look around & see everybody stumblin' Runnin' right out of their minds And I don't know, what I, don't know what I know Cause there's times when them troubles get to hard to ever let go But it's another day Another beautiful day in America And we're all alive under a big blue sky In America Where we fight for our hopes & dreams And we fight for our right to be free Cause it's another day Another beautiful day in America The world keeps turnin' round, sometimes your up, sometimes your down Sometimes it seems that's all we know Well take a look around & give thanks for what you found Cause love is everywhere we go And we don't know, what we, don't know what we know When we're staring down them troubles And we know that we gotta let go Sometimes we get to where we just don't know The times are changing & we gotta be strong We fight for freedom & we fight for hope And we fight for the right To call this our home Music video for 'America', released on July 4, 2021 Thank You Again! You all ROCK!!! |
